How has it been around here? I hope u had your macs fixed. Every now and then there's a comment talking about sucess. I'm really glad for it and hope that if there's still someone with an iMac w860 with trouble to get it fixed, sooner than later gets a proper fix as is deserved.

As you might not know most of the machines affected were NOT fixed.
We tried hard we called, we drove hundreds of miles to no end.

Hi this has just happened to me the vertical yellow line down the screen. My 2007 iMac's serial number is W864...VUX. It's Apple Care extended warranty just ran out last month. Does this sound like the same problem, and is there any point calling Apple?
I just called apple and they agreed to repair our imac. they did not give us any trouble and said that they were making an "exception" for our case since we were out of warranty. (purchased 11/06) It just took the one phone call and no begging or fighting was necessary. This is the sign of a good company in my opinion.
thank you for this site because i would have assumed that we were out of luck without a warranty and would not have even tried. I am so used to crappy companies with crappy service.
